Saif Ali Khan had been on a lookout for a special blonde girl and he walked that extra mile to find her. Well, before you get ideas, let us explain that the news doesn’t concern his personal life but is strictly professional. The actor-turned-producer had to literally walk the streets of San Francisco to spot a ‘blonde girl’ for an important role in ‘Love Aaj Kal’.It so happened that during the shoot of ‘Love Aaj Kal’, director Imtiaz Ali shot down the girls selected by the casting agent in the US. So, Saif-Imtiaz had no other choice but to go for road auditions. "We had gone to the US to do a reassessment of the location twice and we got everything in place except for the blonde American-looking girl who would play an important person in Saif`s life in the movie. It was an easy cast as everyone thought getting a blonde girl would be a no-brainer. The casting director there showed me many pictures but I somehow did not like anyone. We were very tense as we just had three days left to find someone, train her and shoot with her," Imtiaz said to a news daily.Imtiaz further stated that they got their special ‘blonde girl’ outside a nightclub."Still we were not getting anybody...till the last night before we were supposed to shoot when a person from the crew spotted a girl outside a nightclub and called me. Her name was Luna Livinsky and she was a 23-year-old born to hippie parents. I loved her and she was open to work with us. Saif too gave the nod and we shot with her the very next day. She has done a good job in the film given the short notice period," Imtiaz said.Well, Luna seems to be one lucky blonde girl!
